About the hotel
“Although he was a drinking man, he didn’t like the jug.”
Whether it’s a pub out in the bush or a hotel in the city CBD, there is no doubt Steve will know someone as soon as he walks in and end up sitting for a few schooners reminiscing about a mutual acquaintance & rattling off names of the best horses at the country races yonder years ago.
Steve has lived and breathed Pubs all of his adult life. Starting his barman years at the Woolwich Pier Hotel, he was a natural..
From the beautiful town of Coonamble, he had the Tattersalls Hotel (Now the Sons of the Soil Hotel), The Western Star Hotel in Dubbo, & then the big move with the family to Sydney where he and his wonderful wife Susan reinvented the White Cockatoo Hotel. He took the coastal road to The Headlands Hotel in Austinmeer, and then back to Sydney and settled at the Place Hotel, Mortlake. After all that travelling, he found a little gem of a hotel on the edge of Sydney Harbour – the Glasgow Arms Hotel.
